Internship - IoT | Fleet Management | Edge Computing

Depending on your time restrictions and interests you can:

  1. implement a prototype for a state of the art fleet management for laboratory process automation (monitoring, alerting for edge devices with a cloud backend)
  2. develop a Digital Twin for medical device performance optimization

Along the way you will gain experience in data privacy and data streams. Additionally we offer the possibility to gain experience in applied Machine Learning with TensorFlow / TFLite. 

Key Qualifications 

  • Pursuing degree (or recently graduated) in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, robotics or related field in Switzerland
  • Good understanding of IoT and Edge Computing principles
  • Solid knowledge of one major programming language (preferably C# or Python)
  • Good debugging and testing skills
  • Highly motivated in building software for medical devices / IoT (mIoT) 

Helpful but not required 

  • Security frameworks und best practices
  • Data streams and event-based architectures, e.g. with Kafka
  • Knowhow in building scheduling software
  • Image processing and on-edge ML inference
  • Knowledge of lab automation, microscopy systems and their data
